Life of Creativity

Having trouble turning your creative ambitions into reality? Uninspired by your current work? Ready to dive into that project you've been toying with in the back of your mind?

No matter your dream, circumstance, or past experiences, we will work through your creative blocks so that you can explore the boundaries of your imagination and your craft. Using Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way, A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity," we will forge an understanding of what being an artist means to each of us. Challenge yourself to engage with this thoughtful, generative practice with the support and structure of this group exploration.

Join a cohort of dedicated, creative people as we learn from each other and cultivate our artistic practice. Weekly meetings will punctuate the beginning of every chapter, helping you digest what you’ve been working through and creating community along the way.

The standard Twelve Weeks, which will be offered Jan-March 2023. You have the choice between meeting the Sunday Group (11 AM PT/2 PM ET) or the Monday Group ( 3 PM PT/6 PM ET).

Give your creative energy an outlet to bloom in the new year and pick up Julia Cameron’s Spiritual Workbook, “The Artist’s Way, A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity”.

The Artist’s Way changed my life.

The book was first gifted to me the summer of 2018, after my first weed induced hypomanic episode. What goes up, must come down. During the deepest depression of my life, I came out of one of my darkest periods feeling more like myself than I ever had because of Julia Cameron.

I have been doing morning pages religiously ever since. Each day, I spew three pages of thoughts, ideas, poems, and more. I have a space to rest, to dream, to play. I have space to float. But more than that, The Artist’s Way set me off on a creative path, one that I have helped many others set off on.

Summer of 2020, I led my first group of twelve through the Artist’s Way. During a terrible, disorienting year, I was able to help folks create art and find community. Past participants who didn’t know what they wanted came out of the twelve weeks having written albums, jumpstarted comedic careers, and more. Folks from the 2021 groups identified they wanted to act, only go on to lead plays in theater companies they long fetishized. Others quit full-time jobs and moved abroad to write.

All of this is to say: you can live your wildest dreams, too.

I have done the Artist’s Way multiple times, and after each, I learn something new: I’m a painter, a poet, a dancer, a singer, and a writer. I can’t wait to see what this round will allow me to explore.

If you’re on the fence about joining this workshop... jump all in. It’s time you give to yourself that gives you the opportunity to live your highest potential and in your highest good, which is dope as fuck.

How This Works

Each participant is independently responsible for:

  1. Reading one chapter a week

  2. Morning pages every day (3 pages, stream of consciousness)

  3. One artist’s date a week (as simple as going on a walk, and as complicated as going on to a museum, movie, or trip)

  4. At the end of the chapter, there is a list of tasks. Each person must accomplish at least three tasks

There are two ways you can join the Artist’s Way Group:

  1. Weekly Artist’s Way meetings twelve weeks (Winter ‘23), in addition to self-guided work through the Workbook ($600 for 12 weeks, sliding scale available; AW Alums are grandfathered in at the $200 rate, and are able to bring a friend in at that rate for a combine fee of $400).

  2. Weekly Artist’s Way meeting for twelve weeks, in addition to a weekly one-on-one session with Paulina (SIX SPOTS AVAILABLE; $1200 for 12 weeks of meetings and one-on-one coaching).

Let’s find ourselves together.

If you are applying for the fully funded Wife of the Party scholarship, please address these questions in the form below:

Paulina’s “The Artists Way” led course was an incredible experience. Paulina graciously leads the group through Julia Cameron’s work on a profound and collaborative level. A level one would struggle to access on their own. Thank you Paulina for bringing incredible insight, support and personal experience through the artist way. So we as students could find our own unique creativity and gifts!

When I saw Paulina post about The Artist Way, I had just made a promise to myself to do something this year that scared me. As a stay at home mom signing up for a 12 week workshop with accomplished artists terrified me. Throughout the 12 weeks I developed good habits, and I learned it was not only ok for me to take time for myself, it was a necessity. I learned so much about myself, and durning our weekly meetings I was inspired and honored to be in the presence of greatness. The self confidence I gained only continues to grow, and I find myself trying new things all the time without fear. The Artist Way was a life changing experience for me. I am so glad I took a chance on myself.

The Artist’s Way and the opportunity to participate in Paulina’s workshop came to me by the grace of the Universe. I was excited and scared to start the journey, but Paulina made it super easy to feel safe. I had no idea what to expect from the program, and I have to say that I was even a bit skeptical about needing it. Meeting in the group became one of the best parts of my week, and through the 12-week course, I found my entire life perspective shifting. Adopting the morning pages as a daily practice has completely changed how I process my world. We all get through the Artist’s Way on our own but having the group to relate to while you do the work was by far the best part of it for me. I have seen just how life-changing this process can be, and I really have to thank Paulina and our group for supporting me through it.
